Chelsea youngsters’ winning run ended by Aston Villa

Under-18 Premier League leaders Chelsea had to settle for a 0-0 draw against Aston Villa on Saturday.

The young Blues, who had won their previous three matches and seven of their last eight, and have not lost since September, created a number of chances at Cobham but were unable to find the net.

Jacob Maddox thumped a shot against the Villa bar and Reece James was unable to force the ball over the line after being set up by Cole Dasilva late on.

James also created a chance for Martell Taylor-Crossdale, who headed over.
