Brentford youngsters hit five against Southampton

Danny Parish scored twice as Brentford’s B team beat a Southampton XI 5-2 on Wednesday afternoon.

Reece Cole scored with a penalty and there were also goals for Luke Dunn and Kyjuon Marsh-Brown.

Parish gave the visitors an early lead and they were 2-0 up by the 12th minute courtesy of Cole’s spot-kick.

After Southampton pulled a goal back, Parish netted again after being set up by Marsh-Brown.

It was 4-1 just 30 seconds in the second half after Dunn scored following good work by Zain Westbrooke.

The Saints pulled a goal back again on the hour mark, but Marsh-Brown bundled the ball in from close range for Brentford’s fifth three minutes later.
