Kurt Zouma has pledged to return “stronger than ever” after the Chelsea defender’s season was ended by a knee injury.

Zouma was stretchered off during Sunday’s 1-1 draw with Manchester United and a scan has subsequently revealed he suffered anterior cruciate ligament damage.

Meanwhile, Borussia Mönchengladbach sporting director Max Eberl has said the German club are keen to sign on-loan Chelsea defender Andreas Christensen on a permanent deal.

The Daily Mail have since claimed that Liverpool, Manchester City and Manchester United have been monitoring the Dane but say Chelsea will block any attempt to sign him.

QPR midfielder Alejando Faurlin is optimistic he will be available for Saturday’s derby against Fulham despite an ongoing thigh problem.
