Round-up: QPR eye Chery, McCarthy bid, Liverpool linked with Roberts

QPR want to sign midfielder Tjaronn Chery from Dutch club FC Groningen.

Aston Villa have also shown an interest in the 27-year-old and Rangers have sanctioned a move for him after receiving a windfall from Raheem Sterling’s big-money transfer.

Rangers have rejected an offer of £3m from Crystal Palace for Alex McCarthy but the Eagles are expected to return with another bid and trigger a £3.5m release clause in the goalkeeper’s contract.
