Round-up: Jose unhappy, penalty ‘harsh’, QPR fans hailed, Bees win, Fulham draw

Chelsea won the west London derby, but Jose Mourinho was unhappy after his team’s 2-1 victory against QPR at Stamford Bridge.

The Blues boss criticised his players for their below-par performance and bemoaned the lack of atmosphere in the ground.

Eden Hazard scored the winner from the penalty spot after Eduardo Vargas was adjudged to have fouled him in the box, a decision Rangers manager Harry Redknapp felt was harsh.

Redknapp praised his players, having declared ahead of the game that the team was finally beginning to gel after a poor start to the season.

Chairman Tony Fernandes praised QPR’s players and “amazing” fans on Twitter after the game.

Meanwhile, a late Stuart Dallas goal gave Brentford a 2-1 victory against Derby at Griffin Park.

Andre Gray also scored for the Bees, with manager Mark Warburton revealing that a pep talk with the striker following his recent goal drought appeared to do the trick.

Steve McClaren was far less happy – the Derby boss rued his team’s lack of composure after the hosts came from behind to beat them.

Warburton also insisted he has no plans to bring in striker Danny Graham from Sunderland, who was touted for a loan move.

And Bryan Ruiz scored twice for Fulham as they drew 3-3 at Wigan, where both teams ended the match with 10 men.

It was the Whites’ first game since Kit Symons was confirmed as manager. He praised their resilience after Ruiz’s late penalty rescued a point.
