QPR striker Loic Remy has told French television channel Bein Sport he left Marseille reluctantly.
Remy was sold during the January transfer window after offers for him were accepted from the R’s and Newcastle.
“I wanted to finish the season there and then look elsewhere. I got a chill when I saw that the leaders had made their decision behind my back.,” he said.
“When I heard that, I was a little disappointed. I was hurt.”
Commenting on life in England, Remy added: “It’s in London, with very good conditions. The wage level too was interesting.
“This may be a hindrance to my international career, but I do not see things like that.
“I will make every effort to maintain the club’s [Premier League] status this season.”
