It was an eventful transfer window for QPR, who managed to offload Leroy Fer and Sandro on loan.

But the club were not willing to part with Jamie Mackie – MK Dons made an enquiry about taking him on loan before signing Jay Emmanuel-Thomas from the R’s.

Fans on Twitter have been reacting to Fer’s loan move to Swansea, with some Rangers supporters disappointed to see him go.

West London Sport revealed this week that Italian defender Marco Motta would not be signing a contract at QPR following his recent trial.

However, media reports in Italy on Tuesday claimed the right-back could still secure a move to Loftus Road.

Meanwhile, QPR have announced a partnership with LGBT club London Titans.

There has inevitably been speculation about where Terry will be playing next season, including reports Chelsea legend Gianfranco Zola, now manager of Al Arabi, wants him to sign for the Qatar club.

And in cricket, Middlesex’s Hammersmith-born bowler Harry Podmore will spend the opening weeks of the new season on loan at Glamorgan.
