Round-up: Green latest, Best plays in QPR game, Blues youngsters denied by Arsenal, Middlesex win

Chris Ramsey has confirmed to West London Sport that West Ham are looking to re-sign Rob Green – but says he is hopeful the goalkeeper will stay at QPR.

Rangers head coach Ramsey insisted “no deal has been cut” despite the interest in the 35-year-old, who spent six years at Upton Park before moving to west London in 2012.

Ramsey has also paid tribute to Stan Bowles – and recalled a night out with the QPR legend in the early 1980s.

The former England international, who has Alzheimer’s disease, was honoured by the club amid emotional scenes on ‘Stan Bowles Day’ at Loftus Road on Saturday.

Meanwhile, striker Leon Best, who has been training with the R’s, today featured for their development side against Brentford, who beat them 3-0 with goals from Jan Holldack, Montell Moore and Jermaine Udumaga.

Chelsea’s Under-18s were also in action – they drew 1-1 at Arsenal, where their 100% start to the season was ended by a late equaliser.

Juan Cuadrado looks set to leave Chelsea on a season-long loan to Juventus. The deal is expected to be completed shortly.

Blues fans on Twitter have been discussing Branislav Ivanovic’s poor start to the season, with many now suggesting that Cesar Azpilicueta should move to right-back. 

As for the latest transfer speculation, Leeds United, Bristol City and Wolves are reportedly among the clubs keen to sign Chelsea youngster Islam Feruz on loan.

Fulham have completed the signing of goalkeeper Joe Lewis on loan from Cardiff City.

And in cricket, James Harris tormented Durham to seal a vital victory for Middlesex.
