Uncategorized AVB insists draw is a positive result

Fabio was also excellent against Spurs.

Tottenham manager Andre Villas-Boas insisted his side’s draw at QPR was a positive result.

Spurs dominated the game at Loftus Road but were unable to break the deadlock as Rangers hung on to secure a point.

“Drawing away from home in the Premier League is always a positive. Our away form is excellent and we feel comfortable away from home,” Villas-Boas said.

“It was important to get the first goal to unlock QPR in some way. They can be difficult to break down. That’s why we came away with only a point.”

Spurs’ best opportunity fell to Emmanuel Adebayor, who tried to forced home the rebound after Julio Cesar’s save from Jermain Defoe but was denied by another fine stop from the Brazilian.

Villas-Boas admitted: “It was big big chance. Julio did extremely well. Credit to the goalkeeper and to QPR for their defending.”
