QPR linked with Salah & Sigthorsson

QPR have been linked with Chelsea’s Mohamed Salah and Ajax striker Kolbeinn Sigthorsson.

Rangers, who have not expressed an interest in either player and are lining up other possible targets, were linked with Sigthorsson in the Dutch media, which was subsequently picked up by the Evening Standard.

The club had a £5m bid for him accepted during the previous transfer window but did not agree personal terms with Sigthorsson and he has since agreed a new contract at Ajax.

Speculation about his future has re-emerged after he lost his place in the Ajax side and his brother agent Andri was quoted as saying: “I hope he leaves quickly. A player with the qualities of Kolbeinn needs weekly 90 minutes’ playing in his own position.”

Rangers, it is claimed, would be interested in taking him on loan.

Meanwhile, Sky Sports and subsequently the Daily Mail have suggested that QPR are looking to sign Salah on loan.

The Mail reckon Rangers are struggling to finance deals and that Salah is also wanted by Sunderland, West Brom and Inter Milan.

Meanwhile, there continues to be speculation that Lionel Messi could leave Barcelona and sign for Chelsea.
