Chelsea reportedly close to keeper signing and in talks to sell Schurrle

Chelsea have reportedly opened talks with Atletico Madrid over a potential deal to sell Andre Schurrle to the Spanish club.

The Mail say Atletico are pushing for an answer from Chelsea and that Blues boss Jose Mourinho would prefer to sell a different foreign player as the club seek to stay within the Premier League quota.

German Schurrle, who moved to Stamford Bridge from Bayer Leverkusen a year ago, is believed to want to stay.

Chelsea are again linked with Real Madrid’s Germany midfielder Sami Khedira, this time by the Evening Standard.

The Mail say Samuel Eto’o, linked with Liverpool since his recent departure from Chelsea, is attracting interest from Everton.

Meanwhile, Goal.com say Chelsea are close to securing a deal to sign Croatia youth international goalkeeper Ivan Brkic.

The 19-year-old, who plays for Istra, is tipped to move to west London for a fee of around £800,000.

And Fulham want a £2.5m loan fee for Greek striker Kostas Mitroglou, again according to Goal.com.

Mitroglou, who moved to Craven Cottage in January, has been linked with a return to his former club Olympiacos.

Fulham are tipped to sign another forward if Mitroglou leaves.
