Fer’s agent denies QPR talks and Redknapp plays down Dawson link

Leroy Fer’s agent Rob Jansen has dismissed claims the Norwich City midfielder is on his way to QPR.

Dutch media reports suggested Rangers had as good as completed a deal to sign the 24-year-old Netherlands international, who featured for his country in the recent World Cup.

But Jansen insisted no talks had taken place about a potential move to Loftus Road.

“There is quite a lot happening around Leroy, but I haven’t spoken with Queens Park Rangers,” Jansen told Fox Sports.

“As long as that didn’t happen, I don’t take such reports too seriously.”

Tottenham defender Michael Dawson
Centre-back Dawson has previously turned down a move to QPR.

Meanwhile, QPR boss Harry Redknapp has played down reports linking Tottenham defender Michael Dawson with a move to W12.

Redknapp, who expects to complete the signing of ex-Manchester United and England star Rio Ferdinand this week, told Talksport: “You would have Michael in your team any day of the week, but we haven’t made any offers for Michael.”
