Rangers among Premier League clubs linked with Marseille forward

QPR are interested in Marseille forward Andre-Pierre Gignac, reports in France claim.

The 29-year-old, who has scored 12 goals in 19 Ligue 1 games this season, is out of contract in the summer and Rangers are said to be among several Premier League clubs monitoring him.

Newcastle, Sunderland, Aston Villa and Stoke are also apparently interested, but reports suggest Marseille want Gignac to sign a deal with them this month so they receive a transfer fee for a player who has served them for five years.

There is yet more speculation on the future of QPR target Jermain Defoe, who is training with former club Tottenham to maintain his fitness during the MLS off-season.

The Daily Star believes that Defoe, who was close to a move to Loftus Road in August, could be on his way to Crystal Palace.

And quotes attributed to Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos have led the Daily Express to link him with a move to Chelsea.

Ramos is said to have told Spanish newspaper AS that he prefers the Premier League to signing a new deal that has been offered to him, which the Express say will be of interest to his former Real boss Jose Mourinho.

Meanwhile, Fulham have been linked with Leicester defender Liam Moore – a player they tried to sign last season.

The Daily Star says Watford have made an offer to take him on loan but that Fulham and Blackburn are also hoping to sign him.
