QPR manager Harry Redknapp has dismissed reports Tottenham defender William Gallas could join him at Loftus Road.
Gallas, who played under Redknapp at Spurs, has recently been linked with a move to west London.
But Redknapp does not believe his former club would be willing to let the 35-year-old leave during the transfer window.
He said: “William’s a good player but I think he’s well in at Tottenham. He’s playing regularly there, so it’d be difficult.”
Redknapp recently signed Tal Ben Haim on a contract until the end of the season and is hoping to bring in at least one more centre-back this month.
“We’re looking. We’re trying every day, but I wouldn’t take somebody for the sake of it,” Redknapp said.
“Unless we can get people who will come and improve us we’ll sit tight. We’ll just get on with what we have.”
Meanwhile, Redknapp says he believes Tottenham can win the Premier League title within the next few years.
