Wembley woes continue for Tottenham as Swansea earn a point

Tottenham remain winless at Wembley in the Premier League after a frustrating goalless draw.
Harry Kane went closest when he rattled the bar during a second half in which Spurs had good chances to find the net.
Heung-Min Son forced three good saves from the impressive Lukasz Fabianski as boss Mauricio Pochettino switched around his line-up in search of a winner.
New signings Fernando Llorente and Serge Aurier both came on for their Premier League debuts but the ghosts of Wembley past returned for Spurs despite their 3-1 Champions League win over Borussia Dortmund in midweek.
Spurs beat Dortmund’s keeper twice inside his near post on Wednesday but they could not get past Fabianski, who stopped Kane’s early free-kick that was destined for the bottom right-hand corner.
The ex-Arsenal stopper then stood up to Son, who was playing at left wing-back after Ben Davies was dropped to the bench, and blocked him from scoring a repeat of his midweek goal from a tight angle.
Eric Dier and Moussa Sissoko both sent decent long-range attempts over the bar, as Davinson Sanchez continued to impress in Tottenham’s back three, which limited Swansea to just one half-chance through ex-Spurs man Tom Carroll.
But, despite rarely being threatened by the visitors, Spurs could not find the breakthrough as Christian Eriksen and Son forced Fabianski to palm away shots early in the second half.
Kane hit the goal-frame on 58 minutes after another Son effort was parried to Sissoko, who crossed for Kane to strike first time, and Toby Alderweireld blasted the follow-up high into the stands.
Boss Pochettino moved Trippier to left-back and Son into the forward line, as Fabianski was equal to a clever backwards header from Kane, and then Llorente added to the pack with 15 minutes to go.
But the veteran Spaniard was peripheral, as Trippier went closest in the remaining minutes when he shaved the paint from the outside of the post with a left-foot bullet from 25 yards.

What a bad team selection from Pochettino, how the hell can you start Sissoko in any game, no left back, Davies has created more chances than any other player this season and he leaves him out. After all that we bring on Llorente and don’t put one cross into the box. The whole game was pedestrian, Dier was so slow, no urgency about him. And once again Lloris shows how bad his kicking is.
