Half-time: Leicester 1 Chelsea 0

Marc Albrighton’s strike in first-half injury time put Leicester ahead against an out-of-sorts Chelsea.

The Blues, who need two wins to be sure of the Premier League title, barely threatened, with Didier Drogba squandering their best opening.

And the Foxes took the lead when Albrighton sidefooted home from close range after great work by Jamie Vardy on the left flank.

Both sides looked lively in the final third but it was Leicester who settled first and were sharper in the midfield battle.

Vardy’s pace caused problems to Chelsea’s back four from the start and Vardy’s fellow striker Leo Ulloa then miscontrolled when he would have been through on goal.

But Chelsea then began to threaten, mainly through the pace of Willian and Eden Hazard.

The pair combined to tee up Drogba who shot well wide, while Cesc Fabregas opted to cross rather than shoot after more fine work by Hazard.

But it was Leicester who went ahead when Albrighton calmly shot home.

The Foxes, who have won four in a row to climb out of the relegation zone, suffered a double first-half injury blow, with midfielder Andy King and former Chelsea defender Robert Huth both having to come off.

Drogba started up front, with Diego Costa once again left out of the squad, while Petr Cech is in goal with Thibaut Courtois left on the bench.
