Olivier Giroud starts for Chelsea in the FA Cup fifth-round clash at Stamford Bridge, where Emerson Palmieri makes his Blues debut.

Ethan Ampadu starts at the heart of the Chelsea defence and fellow youngsters Trevoh Chalobah, Kyle Scott, Dujon Sterling and Callum Hudson-Odoi are on the substitutes’ bench, where they are joined by Alvaro Morata.

Boss Antonio Conte has indicated that Morata, who recently returned after a back problem, will play at least some part in the game.

But the starting place has gone to Giroud, who has been nursing a calf problem but passed a fitness test.

Meanwhile, Michael Dawson starts for Hull following a fitness test.

But Seb Larsson is suspended and the Championship side cannot select Michael Hector, Ola Aina or Fikayo Tomori, who are on loan from Chelsea.
