Wilkins backs Chelsea to win cup clash

Ray Wilkins believes Chelsea will see off Manchester United when his two former clubs meet in the FA Cup next month.

Former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho will return to Stamford Bridge with United on 13 March.

And Wilkins, who served the Blues as a player and coach and had a five-year spell at United, believes it will be a losing return for Mourinho.

“I can’t see them winning the FA Cup, purely and simply because they go to Stamford Bridge to play that game,” Wilkins told Sky Sports.

“I think that Chelsea at home are so good and look so solid, I can’t see United beating them.

“But I think they’ll qualify for the Champions League.”
