Worried QPR assess Austin hamstring injury

QPR are assessing a hamstring injury picked up by Charlie Austin during their 4-0 defeat against Fulham.

Austin went off during the second half at Craven Cottage and Rangers fear he is facing a spell on the sidelines.

The striker, who has scored seven goals this season, will be assessed over the weekend.

Head coach Chris Ramsey said: “I’m not sure [how serious the injury is] yet. I think I’ll know more later tonight.”

Ramsey added that a suspected hamstring injury also led to Jamie Mackie being withdrawn at half-time.
