Warnock backs Faurlin after mistake
QPR boss Neil Warnock insists Alejandro Faurlin will learn from his mistake in the build-up to West Brom’s equaliser on Saturday.
Shane Long’s late goal for Albion came after Faurlin allowed James Morrison to sprint away from him.
Warnock berated the Argentine on the pitch immediately after the 1-1 draw but has subsequently played down the exchange.
“We all make mistakes. We’ve just got to learn from them and move on,” said Warnock.
“I’ve said about Ale Faurlin since I came to the club that he’d blossom in the Premier League. I wouldn’t swap him or Joey Barton for anyone.
“Ale’s getting better all the time. He’s got things still to learn and I’m sure will take things on board.”

Yeah, I have to admit – being a massive QPR fan, appreciating all Neil has done etc etc I still don’t really like the fact that he had a proper go at Ale Faurlin…the guy is a legend, and shouldn’t the defence be more at fault than him?
Ale doesn’t deserve a telling off imo and certainly not in public. But then Warnock is a genius man manager so I assume he knows what he’s doing!
The other one I didn’t like was the slating of Traore for his sending off. I can understand all about Taarabt, as he’s basically thrown away the best opportunity of his life to play well for us at this level by being a gullible tw@t and a child, but Traore and Faurlin have been magnificent. Give the guys a break!!!

I know NW is an emotive character but these public telling offs are becoming a bit frequent. Does he find it difficult to keep a lid on things or is he doing it to reassure everyone that he sees the error and so does the shouting on the spot?
Either way there has to be a better way. Adopt the Ferguson changing room hair dryer method perhaps?
