Sunderland said to be keen to sign Townsend on loan from Tottenham

Sunderland are looking to sign Andros Townsend on loan from Tottenham, according to Goal.com.

Townsend impressed during a loan spell at QPR, who want to sign him on a permanent basis but believe Spurs are unlikely to let him go.

Several other Premier League clubs, including Newcastle, would also be interested in the 23-year-old wide-man should he become available, Goal say.

Meanwhile, Chelsea are among the clubs supposedly looking to sign Barcelona’s Sergio Busquets.

It comes after reports in the Spanish media that the player could move during next month’s transfer window or in the summer, with Bayern Munich and Paris St-Germain said to be keen.

The Express say Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester United are interested and that Busquets could be tempted to move to England.
