Taarabt named in QPR squad for Ireland trip

Adel Taarabt has been included in QPR’s squad for their pre-season trip to Ireland.

Taarabt, who ended last term on loan at AC Milan, was left out of the recent visit to Germany.

Manager Harry Redknapp claimed the player reported for training “way out of shape” but suggested he could have a role to play at Rangers if he got himself fit.

Former West Ham midfielder Jack Collison, who has been training with the club and featured in Germany, has not been included.

Rangers play Shamrock Rovers on Saturday and Athlone Town on Tuesday.

Loic Remy, whose proposed move to Liverpool collapsed, is due to report for training at Harlington while the first-team squad are away.
