Joel Lynch has been all but ruled out of QPR’s game against Aston Villa.
The Rangers defender picked up a knock in last weekend’s defeat against Nottingham Forest and was sent home from training earlier this week because he was ill.
“He’s had a virus in the last few days,” manager Ian Holloway told QPR’s website.
“In fairness to him, he came in on Wednesday and wanted to train. We did some work with him in the gym but he was struggling, so we sent him home.”
Idrissa Sylla is still unavailable because of a calf injury, although Holloway recently suggested the striker is close to return.
Jamie Mackie remains sidelined along with Grant Hall and David Wheeler.
