Senior players feature in Rangers friendly

Niko Kranjcar, Jordon Mutch, Junior Hoilett, Rio Ferdinand, Matt Phillips, Armand Traore and Shaun Wright-Phillips featured for QPR in a training-ground friendly on Monday.

Kranjcar, Wright-Phillips and youngster Reece Grego-Cox scored for Rangers as they beat Southend United 3-2 at Harlington.

The match was organised in order to keep Rangers’ fringe players fit as they could be needed over the busy Christmas period.

Manager Harry Redknapp has indicated that Ferdinand could be recalled at some stage, while the likes of Mutch and Phillips have been battling to regain their sharpness following injury problems.
