Caulker and Remy speculation, Fulham tipped to bid for Maguire

Cardiff defender Steven Caulker is holding out for a move to Liverpool following discussions with QPR and Crystal Palace, according to the Daily Mirror.

West London Sport recently revealed that QPR were targeting Caulker, 22, and subsequently that they were in talks with the England international after meeting an £8m release clause in his contract.

Palace are said to have tabled a similar bid, with Southampton also reported to be interested.

But there is speculation that Caulker, who played under Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers when they were both at Swansea, is waiting to see if Rodgers comes in for him.

Steven Caulker is wanted by QPR
QPR are hoping to sign centre-back Caulker for £8m.

The Mirror also say QPR are interested in Marseille midfielder Morgan Amalfitano, 29, who spent last season on loan at West Brom.

Arsenal continue to be tipped to sign striker Loic Remy from QPR.

But the Newcastle Evening Chronicle say Newcastle, who had him on loan last season, have still not given up hope of buying the Frenchman.

Meanwhile, The Sun reports that Chelsea have agreed the £20m signing of Atletico Madrid left-back Filipe Luis.

And the Daily Star say Fulham are lining up a £3m bid for Sheffield United defender Harry Maguire.
