Redknapp: I’ll decide whether I stay at QPR

Harry Redknapp has refused to say whether he is likely to stay on as QPR manager after the play-offs.

The 67-year-old, who had a knee operation last year and is due to undergo a knee replacement this summer, will discuss his future in the coming weeks.

He was reluctant to be drawn on the issue ahead of his side’s semi-final first leg at Wigan tonight.

Redknapp said: “I don’t know. I haven’t thought about it. I’m just concentrating on the next couple of games.

“Then I’ll sit down and have a chat with the chairman and see what he wants to do. Whatever they want to do is fine with me.”

But he then added: “It will be up to me in the end. I’ve got another year left on my contract.

“I’ll sit down with them and talk about it and see where we go. Let’s just wait and see what happens this week.

“Then I’ll decide what I want to do from there on. I can really do what I want with my life.”

Skipper Clint Hill believes Redknapp may be tempted to stay on if QPR win promotion back to the Premier League rather than opt to go out on a high.

Hill said: “Hopefully we can give him a headache, get promoted via the play-offs and give him a decision to make.”
