Rangers trio could return for Arsenal game

Sandro is set to return to the QPR squad for Wednesday’s game against Arsenal and could be joined by Nedum Onuoha and Mauricio Isla.

Midfielder Sandro has not featured for Rangers since being taken off with a knee injury during the defeat at Newcastle in November.

He has been passed fit to play against the Gunners, while defenders Onuoha and Isla will be assessed to see if they too can be included.

Onuoha has been out with a hamstring problem and Isla has been struggling with a knee injury.

“The boys have trained really hard and some of the players who’ve had niggling injuries are hopefully going to be in contention in the next few days,” said head coach Chris Ramsey.

“We’ve got Sandro back in contention and Nedum and Isla might be back in contention for the next couple of games.”

Sandro’s return is a timely one for Rangers as they are without Joey Barton, who is suspended for three matches following his recent sending-off against Hull.
