Rangers complete £5m signing of Mutch

QPR have completed the signing of midfielder Jordon Mutch from Cardiff City for £5m.

West London Sport recently revealed that Rangers were interested in Mutch and subsequently that the 22-year-old was on his way to Loftus Road after a release clause in his contract had been activated. 

Mutch, who has signed a four-year contract, is expected to train with his new team-mates on Thursday.

He joined Cardiff from Birmingham City in 2012 and was a stand-out player for the Bluebirds last term despite their relegation.

Mauricio Isla is set to join him at QPR, who are waiting for the Chile World Cup star’s season-long loan move from Juventus to be rubber-stamped.
