Ramsey takes on first-team duties at QPR following Fleming’s departure

QPR: Chris Ramsey

Chris Ramsey is assisting with first-team coaching following the recent departure of Curtis Fleming.

Manager Ian Holloway is looking to install a replacement for Fleming, who has taken a coaching role at Middlesbrough.

In the meantime, former head coach Ramsey has been asked to help out.

Ramsey was recently asked to combine his role of technical director with head of coaching in the academy after the latter position was vacated by Simon Ireland.

The former Tottenham coach was promoted to the top job after Harry Redknapp left QPR in February 2015.

After a spell as caretaker boss, Ramsey was later given the manager’s position on a full-time basis but was sacked in November that year, with Rangers having won nine of their 32 matches under him.

He returned to Loftus Road two months later as technical director.
