QPR’s Malaysian owners formally increase shareholding

QPR co-chairmen Ruben Gnanalingam and Tony Fernandes

QPR have announced that co-chairman Ruben Gnanalingam has increased his shareholding in the club to 33%.

Co-chairman Tony Fernandes has reduced his shareholding from 69% to 55%, the club announced.

However, Rangers’ Malaysian owners now hold a total of 88% of shares, with Sea Dream Ltd, which represents the Mittal family, reducing its shareholding from 30% to 11%.

Around 1% of shares are owned by minor shareholders.

Gnanalingam, part of the Fernandes-fronted takeover of 2011, took the title of co-chairman last summer and has had a more active role in the running of the club for around 18 months.
