QPR youngster signs first pro contract

Hammersmith-born QPR striker Reece Grego-Cox has signed his first professional deal at Loftus Road.

The 18-year-old has agreed terms on a two-and-a-half-year contract, taking him up to the summer of 2017.

Grego-Cox, who has been with Rangers since the age of 13, has scored four goals in seven starts for the QPR Under-21s, after a series of strong performances for the Under-18s.

He has also impressed on the international stage, scoring twice for the Republic of Ireland during last month’s Uefa Under-19 Championship qualifiers against Gibraltar and Switzerland.
