QPR v Sheffield Wednesday line-ups: Six Rangers changes, no Luongo, Owls star misses out

QPR make six changes for the game at Loftus Road, where Idrissa Sylla returns to the starting line-up and Massimo Luongo misses out because of illness.

Sylla, recently back after a calf problem, is partnered up front by the recalled Paul Smyth.

There are also starting places for Jack Robinson, Alex Baptiste, Jordan Cousins and Bright Osayi-Samuel.

With Nedum Onuoha suspended and Joel Lynch injured, Baptiste partners the fit-again Robinson at the back.

Ebere Eze drops to the bench and Matt Smith is also a substitute.

Meanwhile, Sheffield Wednesday are without midfielder Barry Bannan, who injured his groin in Saturday’s loss to Fulham, and forward Fernando Forestieri makes his first start since August 2017.

QPR: Smithies, Furlong, Baptiste, Robinson, Bidwell, Osayi-Samuel, Cousins, Scowen, Freeman, Smyth, Sylla.

Sheffield Wednesday: Wildsmith, Palmer, Thorniley, Lees, Pudil, Reach, Jones, Pelupessy, Forestieri, Nuhiu, Joao.
