Ian Holloway says he and the club’s owners are enthusiastic about QPR’s future despite their difficulties this season.

Rangers moved 10 points clear of the relegation zone by beating Barnsley at Loftus Road on Saturday.

In the longer term, manager Holloway is confident the club will move in the right direction.

“It’s about the club being set up the right way so we can move forward,” he said.

“I want to set it up so that, long term, we can get to where we want to go.

“I’m really proud of being given the opportunity to do this. This is about us, long term, going where we want to go.

“It’s a long process. Normally in football you don’t get that opportunity but I’m trying to put QPR back where we want to be and the owners are so enthusiastic about it it’s scary.”

  • Thank f..k the ‘Neds’ can have a say. And IH spouting shit about the owners have enthusiasm for the club not only winds the fans up but it is utter BS. When was the last time TF said anything positive about the club apart from ‘let’s be patient’,, at least Tango and Cash were a comedy duo that came with a club mascot by the name of (Niaomi Campbell) and though past her sell by date it was better looking at her than the football QPR were playing.

  • I see the "Neds" are out in force here. The club has a huge, and grossly unfair, FFP fine hanging over it. We have a DoF who is trading on his past success as a player, rather than his uselessness in administration. We also have a manager who, despite the above, wants to stay and build something. OK, Olly's not the best but when you ask the QPR Misery Department, who would be better?, they struggle to come out with any realistic names, and those they do name, wouldn't come anywhere near the club! TF has made many mistakes, the biggest of which was sacking Warnock in the first place and replacing him with the criminally irresponsible Hughes, whose antics and pish poor signings have dogged QPR since. Stoke City have also realised the stupidity of appointing Sparkless to the manager's role. It is time for the Neds to wind their necks in and let the club get on with a rebuilding process that is going to take a long time to achieve its aims. Too many fans were fed false promises by "Tango & Cash" and still have the impatience brought about by money. QPR must go back to building properly, from the ground up!

  • the owners need to sell the club so we can move forward and not backward the 4 year plan has fail and we have manger is clueless so come on the owners do the right thing sell the club

  • Does Holloway really expect fans to believe the owners are enthusiastic. About what? Why don’t the owners take a reality check. Take a look in the mirror TF and just see how much damage has been done to the club. The leadership of the club is non existent and it all revolves around the FFP situation which in my opinion was down to TF and his lack of knowledge about running a club let alone owning one. The sooner he’s out of the club the better off the club will be. Sell the club to Walt Disney at least they deal with the fantasy world.

  • What does the long term ,mean?how can any fan be enthusiastic about our current situation?,sub standard manager sub standard ground and training facilities and an absolutely inadequate manager, our league position speaks volumes about the current squad.NONE SO BLIND AS THEM THAT WON'T SEE.

  • Sorry Ollie
What are the owners so enthusiastic about?
No new stadium, no new training ground, no new players.
It cant be their position in the league.
Perhaps its because it looks unlikely QPR will be relegated this season.
Please appreciate the players always put in a shift but currently they are a mid-bottom table team.
