Holloway ‘bursting with pride’ after QPR victory

Ian Holloway felt self-belief was a key factor in QPR’s 4-1 win at Birmingham and felt their fine display was on the cards.

Rangers had slumped to 19th in the Championship table after a run of five matches without a win, but boss Holloway remained convinced they would turn things around.

“I’m bursting with pride,” he declared after the game at St Andrews.

“We’ve shown glimpses of that but unfortunately things weren’t going for us. Today we made them go for us.

“To a man, every one of them actually looked like they believed in themselves and believed in what we were doing.

“I’ve had a good feeling for the last couple of weeks. My inner vibe hasn’t diminished.”

The result lifted Rangers up to 16th.
