QPR man suffers long-term knee injury

QPR midfielder Jermaine Jenas is unlikely to play again this year after suffering cruciate knee ligament damage in training.

Jenas, 31, has had hamstring problems since being signed from Tottenham in January last year and has recently been out with a calf problem.

He now faces a minimum of six months on the sidelines and will see a specialist later this week to determine whether he will undergo surgery.

The former England international is one of several Rangers players whose contract finishes at the end of the season.
