QPR duo could be fit for Burton game

QPR: Jordan Cousins and Sebastian Polter

Sebastian Polter and Jordan Cousins could both feature for QPR at Burton on Tuesday despite suffering injuries at the weekend.

Cousins went off with a hamstring problem after 16 minutes of Saturday’s 1-1 draw against Birmingham at Loftus Road.

And Polter, who came on as a substitute, left the stadium on crutches after suffering an ankle knock.

But both players have since been assessed and are likely to travel with the squad for the trip to face boss Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink’s former side.

They are expected to undergo late fitness tests to see if they are fit enough to start against the Brewers, who are 18th in the Championship table.

Rangers, recently thrashed 6-0 at home by Newcastle, are 16th, having won just one of their last seven league matches.

They did produce a decent second-half display against Birmingham and recent signing Pawel Wszolek, who came on for Cousins, was a stand-out performer.
