QPR boss hails ‘low maintenance’ Isla

Harry Redknapp says he has been impressed by new QPR signing Mauricio Isla’s attitude.

The Chilean wide-man, brought in on a season-long loan from Juventus, is something of an unknown quantity – unlike fellow recent arrivals Rio Ferdinand, Steven Caulker and Jordon Mutch.

Rangers boss Redknapp explained: “Of the four players I brought in, three of them I know.

“The Chilean boy I don’t, having only met him once. He just seems a fantastic boy. He’s going to be very low maintenance.

“When you come to work you want to walk in and see a good lot of lads. I don’t want to walk in and see a bunch of toerags.

“I don’t want to see people on £40,000 a week moaning about this and that. I don’t need that. Life’s too short.”
