QPR believe they can stay up – Ramsey

Chris Ramsey said QPR believe they can avoid relegation following the 3-3 draw against fellow strugglers Aston Villa.

The head coach admitted he was disappointed after a late Christian Benteke free-kick denied the visitors a victory which would have lifted them out of the relegation zone and left Villa in it.

However, coming after Saturday’s 4-1 win at West Brom, the point kept Rangers in with a fighting chance of staying up.

“What’s heartening for us is that we’ve performed very well. We’ve really shown that we do have the ability to survive,” Ramsey said.

“I feel that the players are capable of surviving and I think there’s a belief in the camp that they are capable of it.

“There’s no doom and gloom. Everybody’s upbeat and tries their best. I feel we’re quite together at the moment.”
