QPR agree signing of Emmanuel-Thomas

QPR have agreed the signing of Jay Emmanuel Thomas.

The 24-year-old was a free agent after being released by Bristol City and has been given a three-year contract at Loftus Road.

He began his career at Arsenal and had loan spells at Blackpool, Doncaster and Cardiff before being signed by Ipswich.

Emmanuel-Thomas, who can play as a winger or through the middle, left Suffolk to join City in 2013 and made 82 league appearances during his two years at Ashton Gate.

QPR director of football Les Ferdinand told the club’s website Emmanuel-Thomas is a “a young, hungry player with a great desire to keep improving and bettering himself.”

Ferdinand added: “QPR is a great platform for him to take his game to the next level and we’re really pleased to have him here.”
