QPRNo offers for keeper Cesar, say QPR

QPR goalkeeper Julio Cesar.

QPR chief executive Philip Beard says the club are yet to receive a concrete offer for Julio Cesar but expect him to move shortly.

The Brazil goalkeeper, 33, is desperate to stay in London and join Arsenal, who showed some interest in him midway through last season.

With the Gunners yet to make an approach, Napoli believe they can agree a deal to take Cesar back to Italy – a year after he signed for Rangers from Inter Milan.

“There’s nothing firm,” said Beard.

“He is Brazil’s number one goalkeeper, so I’m sure he’ll interest a lot of clubs as the season starts to get closer.

“We’ll look at what deals are on offer and if they’re right for us and the player.

“Having Brazil’s number one keeper in the Championship would be an interesting dynamic. We might see something happen.”
