QPR’s Furlong extends Cambridge loan

QPR have agreed to extend Darnell Furlong’s loan spell at Cambridge United until next month.

Furlong has impressed for the League Two club, managed by former R’s midfielder Shaun Derry, and his new loan deal expires on 12 March. 

The right-back, 20, spent the first half of the season on loan at Northampton Town, making 11 appearances.

He has made four first-team appearances for QPR – three of them in the Premier League.
