‘Massive meeting’ planned in wake of QPR defeat

Ian Holloway says he will hold a “massive meeting” with his players on Monday in response to QPR’s defeat at Bristol City.

The Rangers boss described the 2-0 loss at Ashton Gate as “probably my most disappointing result ever” after his team were beaten despite their opponents playing most of the game with 10 men.

And Holloway says he will make his feelings clear to the players when they return to training at the start of the week.

“We’ve got a massive meeting on Monday, because I’m not happy with that – not in a million years,” he said.

“I’ve got some young players in and around my squad now. They’ve got to come to the fore and when I put them on they’ve got to show a little bit more than that.

“I’ve got to regalvanise us. We’ve got Barnsley next and that’s more important than anything.”

  • Get Les out of the DOF's office, he's shown that he's pretty useless at the job. What he can do is to get out on the training pitch and teach the pathetic excuses, who claim to be our strikers, where the goal is and how to shoot on target. Yet again against Bristol C, we had a clear majority of shots on goal, but far less accurately than our opponents. 2/3 on target out of 14/16 attempts (depending on who's stats you read) is appalling. Week in, week out, this, along with our hideous defending is what needs to be resolved. This is not Olly's fault, it's down to the prima donnas that are supposed to be playing for us.

  • Fernandez needs to take a good look in the mirror. When is he going to be honest and say “yes, I’ve got it all wrong”! The club is going backwards, not forward. No new players, no new stadium. The club is currently f..ked as is IH, LF and IH. Just sell your stake in the club Fernandez and get someone who can put the club in the right direction.

  • Ih- It’s the fans. They don’t support the team. But it’s ok for Holloway to slag off the team and criticise the younger players. Apparently.

  • when is Tony Fernandes going to have a Meeting with IH and show him the door, its also about time that he was honest with the supporters about his future intentions, not only is the squad not being enriched, it is being decimated selling anyone who will fetch a price. The story gets worst for the Rs,not only are we not winning games we're no longer competing, there seems to be a general malaise around the club and that starts at the top.
