Loan deals for two QPR youngsters

QPR youngster Darnell Furlong has had his loan spell at Northampton Town extended by a month, while Frankie Sutherland has joined Dagenham & Redbridge on a month’s loan. 

Right-back Furlong, 19, has impressed in his six appearances since joining the Cobblers on loan for an initial month.

Rangers have the option of recalling him at 24 hours’ notice and have not granted Northampton permission to select him in the FA Cup.

Furlong has made four first-team appearances for the R’s, the most recent coming in August against Carlisle in the League Cup.

Midfielder Sutherland, 21, is yet to make his senior debut for QPR but has played first-team football while on loan at Portsmouth, Leyton Orient – where he suffered a long-term knee injury – and AFC Wimbledon.

He joins another Rangers youth product, winger Jake Mulraney, who also joined the Daggers on loan this week.
