Ingram set for QPR medical and Motta in line for short-term deal
Matt Ingram is due to undergo a medical at QPR later today after Wycombe accepted an offer for the goalkeeper.
Ingram, 22, has attracted interest from a number of clubs with some impressive performances for the Chairboys, who are managed by former Rangers favourite Gareth Ainsworth.
Rangers want to sign Ingram and offload Rob Green, whose contract includes a clause that would see the 35-year-old land a new deal if he makes 30 appearances this term. Green has so far made 25.
Meanwhile, QPR plan to offer Italian defender Marco Motta a contract until the end of the season.
The 29-year-old right-back was recently granted a trial by Rangers, who have been keen to assess his fitness – Motta has been without a club since leaving Watford at the end of last season.
Prior to his three-month spell at Vicarage Road, during which time he made seven league starts for the Hornets, Motta was at Juventus.
Motta, who began his career at Roma and also spent a year at Udinese, was sent out on loan to Genoa, Bologna and Catania by Juve before eventually securing a move to England.
Rangers believe he can provide them with short-term cover at right-back before longer-term options are assessed in the summer.
