QPR: Ian Holloway
Ian Holloway is considering changes

QPR boss Ian Holloway is considering starting with Ebere Eze against Sunderland on Saturday.

Holloway told Rangers’ website the young forward “is giving me a major issue” following Eze’s lively performance after coming on as a substitute in this week’s draw at home to Derby.

Paul Smyth is certainly set to start up front again, having impressed in the Derby game.

“The fans understand what we are trying to do and I thought little Smythy epitomised what they want to see – the way he runs,
the way he doesn’t give up,” Holloway said.

“He isn’t the only one but I have to say he has made himself almost a permanent fixture if he keeps doing that.”

Baptiste available again

Alex Baptiste has been passed fit to return to the QPR squad.

The defender was unavailable against Derby for because of illness but has since returned to training.

Idrissa Sylla has also trained this week but is not yet fit enough to return to action.

Sylla, who has been struggling with a calf problem, has been pencilled in to play for Rangers’ development side next week.

Jamie Mackie hopes to return from a back injury before the end of the campaign but Grant Hall and David Wheeler are out for the rest of the season.

A win at Loftus Road on Saturday would take QPR 15 points clear of Sunderland, who are currently bottom of the Championship table.
