Hughes still eyeing top-10 finish for QPR

Mark Hughes still believes QPR can finish in the top 10 this season.

Bottom of the table and without a league win, Rangers desperately need a victory against fellow strugglers Southampton at Loftus Road this weekend.

And despite a dismal start to the campaign, their manager insists the top half of the table is still a realistic aim.

“My expectation is we will get the three points and we will start the long road back,” said Hughes.

“Our hope was to finish in the top half and I still think that’s a possibility. We feel teams above us will have periods when they will struggle like we have.

“With injuries clearing, we feel we are through our period and we hope to prove it and kick on.”
