Holloway hails ‘new QPR’ after defeat at Middlesbrough

QPR boss Ian Holloway praised his players following their 3-2 defeat against Middlesbrough.

Injury-hit Rangers led twice and battled until the end at the Riverside Stadium, where they almost salvaged a point when Pawel Wszolek hit the post late on.

“That’s the new QPR. I thought they gave me absolutely everything,” Holloway declared.

“It was a fantastic game of football and I felt we deserved more. I am scratching my head about how we lost it.”

Meanwhile, Rangers captain Nedum Onuoha faces three months on the sidelines with a torn hamstring.
