Henry’s exit is confirmed by QPR

QPR midfielder Karl Henry

QPR have confirmed they are releasing Karl Henry along with a number of youngsters.

Henry, whose contract expires this summer, is leaving Loftus Road after four years at Rangers.

West London Sport revealed in January that he had been told he had no future at the club following a row with manager Ian Holloway.

Henry, 34, later confirmed on Twitter that the pair had fallen out.

Meanwhile, academy players Jeremy Arthur, Brandon Barzey, Darnell Goather-Braithwaite, Ruudi Clarke, Gianni Crichlow, Jake Eales, Anthony Folkes, Michael Klass and Rhys Springer-Downes are also being released.

Jamie Mackie has signed a new one-year deal at Rangers, as has Reece Grego-Cox.

Youngsters Brandon Comley and Danny Rowe have also been offered new contracts.

Midfielder Comley, 21, is a product of the club’s youth system and has made three first-team appearances for the R’s, all of them as a substitute. He ended last season on loan at Grimsby.

Forward Rowe, 20, was signed on a six-month deal from Leicester City in January after impressing during a trial.
