Gladwin praised by Swindon boss

Swindon boss Luke Williams hailed Ben Gladwin after the on-loan QPR man scored against Bolton.

Gladwin has been unable to make an impact at Rangers since being signed from Swindon in the summer of 2015.

But he made an immediate impact in his first match since returning on loan to the Robins for a third time.

He scored a fine goal in a 2-1 victory at the Macron Stadium, where Swindon gave debuts to on-loan Chelsea trio Charlie Colkett, Fankaty Dabo and Islam Feruz.

Williams told Swindon’s website: “It was a huge win and I don’t think it is a coincidence that it has coincided with new players coming to the club.

“We’ve got excellent players already at the club, but sometimes the balance can be off in the team, and we’ve got Ben Gladwin now who we know can be a match-winner and can do things that nobody else in the squad can do.”
