Sandro returns to action after knee injury

Sandro returned to action for QPR’s development side in a match against Brentford on Tuesday afternoon.

The Brazilian midfielder came on for the final 30 minutes of the game at Rangers’ Harlington training ground, where the visitors won 4-1.

It was Sandro’s first outing since he suffered a knee injury during Rangers’ defeat at Newcastle in November.

The home side’s goal was scored by West Ham’s teenage midfielder Ben Marlow, who is on trial with Rangers.

By that stage Brentford were 3-0 up, with Jermaine Udamaga opening the scoring from the penalty spot before Bethinho scored with a cracking strike and Udamaga then netted his second of the game.

Bradley Clayton scored the fourth for Brentford, whose line-up included Josh Laurent, who recently joined them from the R’s.

Ryan Manning, recently signed by QPR from Galway, also featured in the game.
